  • Wolfgang A. Ritschel, will have four pieces of his art shown posthumously at the 1st Annual "Golden Ticket" Juried Art Show at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center, 3711 Clifton Ave., Cincinnati (513-497-2860), September 11 - 29, 2010. Opening Night: Sept.11 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

  • Sophisticated Fundamentals with David Mueller
    CAC Signature member, David Mueller, is forming new weekly art classes in Covington, KY based on strong fundamental tools of drawing and painting. These tools can be utilized at various levels in one's art career and are applicable to all mediums.

  • John Leon will carve a 6 x 5 x 2.5 foot, 11,000 pound block of Indiana Limestone at the Vandalia, Ohio Stone Sculpture Symposium.

    The carving will be open every day to the public September 4 to 18, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. There will be four other sculptors from the US and Canada working on their individual carvings as well. Come see how it's done as the chips fly and the dust billows.

    This is a gypsum model of John's piece, entitled "Inward and Outward - All in All":



  • John Ruthven, honorary CAC member and internationally-acclaimed artist, will be judging this year's Harvest Home Fair Art Show to be held Sept. 9-12 in Cheviot.

    "We are honored to have John Ruthven attend the art show and judge our entries this year, " said Sharon Christopherson, Co-Chair of the show. "We are expecting about 40,000 visitors to the fair this year, and I am excited about the broad exposure we can provide for artists, " added John Williams, Co-Chair of the show.

  • Vatican Splendors: A Journey through Faith and Art
    Missouri History Museum , Saint Louis , Mo (May 15, 2010 - September 12, 2010) The Senator John Heinz History Center , Pittsburgh , Pa ( October 2, 2010 - January 9, 2011)



    Igor Babailov's portrait of Pope Benedict XVI is included with artworks by Michelangelo, Bernini, Giotto and others in this rare exhibit currently on a three city tour of the US.
